VATFACS Award and Scholarship Recipients Announced

At the 2012 Professional Development Institute awards were given to honor outstanding VATFACS members, Business and Industry, Administrators, and scholarship recipients. Visit the links to see this years winners and use the Awards and Scholarship links to learn how to apply for the coming year.

FACS Listserve: Stay informed by joining the FACS List serve. Receive program updates, important announcements and teacher resources through our listserv. Send your e-mail address, name, and school division to Helen Fuqua to be added.

 

 

 

VATFACS Awards

VATFACS Awards are a great way to let someone gain the recognition they deserve. See our 2012 Scholarship recipients, Member awards, awards for Business and Industry and our Outstanding Administrator award winners.

Please note that our application process has changed as the award applications for Teacher of the Year, New Teacher and Community Service have been developed to prepare winners to advance to ACTE Regional and National award competition. Download the following application packet to apply for any of these three awards.

Outstanding FACS Teacher of the Year 

Nominate a FACS teacher in your department, county, or in the State of Virginia who has show exemplery service and  acheivement this year. Nominees must be current VATFACS members.

Outstanding New Teacher of the Year

New teachers are anyone who has taught for 3 years or less and has served above and beyond the call of duty. Nominees must be current VATFACS members. 

Outstanding Teacher in Community Service

New teachers are anyone who has taught for 3 years or less and has served above and beyond the call of duty. Nominees must be current VATFACS members. 

Business and Industry Award (nomination form)

Our programs thrive with strong connetions to business or industry. If there is someone in industry that has made a contribution to your program, nominate them for this award.

Distinguished Service Award (nomination form)

FACS Professionals go out of their way to serve others. Recognize their extra effort with this award.

Outstanding Administrators Award  (nomination form)

Let your administrators know how important they are to you and your program and to VATFACS! Nominate your adminstrator today.  

 

Thank you for taking the time to recognize those around us whose efforts make a difference to the students we teach. Be sure that before you nominate, you read the guidelines for each award. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2013.
